Economical and lightweight fire-rated glass
Keralite® is a fully Canadian code compliant flame retardant glass-ceramic, capable of withstanding high temperatures and thermal shock. Available for protection times ranging from 20 to 180 minutes, all Keralite® products provide light transmission values of 82% or more. Unlike Contraflam®, Keralite® does not protect against radiant heat.
Euroverre offers two types of Keralite®: Keralite Select Film® (5 mm) and Keralite Laminate® (8 mm) which are both polished and CAN/ULC-S104, S106 approved.
Keralite is an asset to sustainable design and can help achieve LEED certification.

“Hose Stream” Testing
Exposed to 30 psi water jet during fire test
Keralite Select Film® (5 mm)
Keralite Select Laminé® (8 mm)
Keralite® Select is a polished glass ceramic. This results in a surface quality that doesn't have the “orange peel” common effect that fireproof glass ceramics have. The vision through Keralite® Select is extremely clear since the haze value is only 0.5%, which is lower than any other similar product.
TEST DE FEU
Hundreds of fire tests performed each year in Vetrotech's ISO17025 accredited laboratories.
In addition, all products that have a rating of 45 minutes or more are subject to the “Hose Stream Test” in accordance with North American building regulations.
