It offers a solution for a neat, sophisticated looking interior, eliminating the need for curtains or blinds.
HOW SMART GLASS
Using a weak electric current, the user can immediately transform the surface of this partition from transparent to opaque. This transformation can be triggered from a range of wall switches, remote controls, motion sensors, light sensors or timers depending on the specific needs of each client.
Privacy glass uses a liquid crystal film sandwiched between two panes of glass. When a small current is applied through this film, the liquid crystal molecules align, allowing incident light to pass through. The glass therefore appears transparent.
When the power is turned off, the liquid crystal molecules relax into a random orientation. This diffuses and disperses the light that is transmitted through the glass. The Smart Glass therefore appears opaque (private).
